Broden, Inc. Creates Construction Industry Site

Mountain Lakes, NJ -- Broden, Inc. has developed, designed and built the newly launched DirtMarket.com Ecommerce site by Construction eMarket, Inc.

The web site serves the construction industry, which commonly faces the challenge of needing a site for depositing excavated soil or needing fill at a construction site.
Initially targeting the northern California market, DirtMarket.com enables sites with fill to connect to companies seeking fill. The party that has fill posts it to the web site, including the location, amount and type. The party that needs fill logs on and finds it in the geographic area requested. DirtMarket provides maps, weather and directions to sites such as quarries, landfills, and other excavation services.

Locations are "geocoded", calculating distance between any two sites via algorithms developed by Broden. The user can locate all available fill near his construction site in less than half a second.
Broden's full-service solution included hardware, software, systems management, installation, firewall configuration, and monitoring via remote management software.

Key to Broden's development of DirtMarket.com is iRAD, a rapid application development model for internal applications that query large databases. Only the business layer communicates with the data layer, so adjustments to the database only impact the data layer. Components maximize code re-use and maintainability. Modeled after Microsoft's Windows DNA, iRAD maps all features supported by the system to objects.
